Teenager Chelsea Ives, who is an Olympics ambassador, hurled bricks and plastic roadworks barriers at police during rioting inLondon this week, a court has heard.

The 18-year-old, who is also accused of leading an attack on a mobile phone shop, was reported to police by her mother. (more…)

• i have a question for you. I’m white but of an ethnic minority so the last thing i am is racist or a nazi. But, how do you explain the fact that wherever there is a black african/caribbean community in the western world the crime rate is sky high. Before you blame povery, unemployment, etc, remember that Portugal &Greece are the poorest countries in W.Europe and yet they have the lowest crime rates. So if it’s not a cultural thing, what is it?
