Liverpool riots: Names of the 61 people charged in connection with disorder

A TOTAL of 61 people have now been charged in connection with the incidents of disorder in south Liverpool and Birkenhead since Monday.

They are:

1. A 17-year-old male from L15, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was charged with breach of the peace.

2. Curtis Corrigan, aged 23, of Lidderdale Road in L15, was charged with breach of the peace. (more…)

• you cannot justify this! one person has been killed, many more seriously injured. a young boy was injured, sitting against a fence bleeding profusely, a gang of men come up to him and take his bag and phone, leaving him helpless. citizens are hiding under their kitchen tables for fear of being seen through a window, shops, houses, cars, and buses are being torched and all because these young men were bored and had no job prospects? i think you’re the blind one. British police say violence and looting has spread to a third city, with authorities handling outbreaks of violence in the northern city of Liverpool.

Liverpool’s police department said officers were responding to a “number of isolated outbreaks of disorder,” including vehicles set ablaze and buildings attacked in the city’s southern neighbourhoods. (more…)
